Last year I began a journey of rediscovering my life. I started a blog about it, and my first post was titled My Reality. I few of you might have read it.
I started this journey because my life had taken unfamiliar twists and turns that I did not respond to so well. My reality was not at all what I thought it would be. If you have read or plan to read it, you may sense a lot of hurt and disappointment in my words. I know that was what I was experiencing at that time. My question, my cry was, GOD, WHAT IS MY REALITY?! That was written May 31st of last year. I want to fast forward to this year. So much can change and has changed in a year.
The event that I am about to share with you occurred sometime last month. It was a Sunday morning, and I along with others were at church, engaged in worship. We are in the face of the one and only God. His presence is sweet and strong. Oh, how He loves us, His children.
We began to sing Awesome God over and over again. At this point I was engulfed by Love Himself. Everyone and everything vanished. All I cared about was the Father, who I was beholding. The song kept playing and we kept singing :
" Our God is an awesome God He reigns from heaven above with wisdom..."
What happened next, I will never forget. God showed me a vision of me and Him. I was in a white dress, His hand in mine, and He was twirling me around. Over and over again...around and around I went. As he was twirling me I was laughing joyfully and smiling. The smile on my Father's face, and the joy in His eyes are indescribable. Then I heard Him say words that will be forever burned on my heart..."This is your reality." Then I saw me sitting on my Father's lap. As He gently stroked my hair, I heard Him say again, "This is your reality"
I began to cry a cry that was trapped inside of me for a long time. As the tears flowed, my heart was being healed. Oh, my God, How you love us so, Your children. How you love us.
You see dear ones, It's love that changes everything, and I am convinced that it will be Love that continues to change me.
Now some of you may not understand my words,or see God as a Father who loves to twirl His daughter. I pass no judgement to you, just a smile and a simple prayer. May you be awakened to the Love that is yours and has always been yours.
For years, my eyes were on the temporal. My trust and hope were on things that would not last. My reality is not of this world or the things of it or the people in it. From love I came, In love I live, and to love I will return.
My reality is Love.
